Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the flyweight division. Valentina is her elder sister, and also a UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started with her debut as an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina followed it up and took home a silver medal in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold award in 2011, and was the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina's last fight was in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko broke her professional MMA records in 2002 when she took on Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious with a TKO in the second round, and was able to take home two fights following and both of them at the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko was a dedicated kickboxer after which she took a lengthy break in MMA. She was back in 2017, when she fought Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa via unanimous decision before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following her departure from the competition. Shevchenko was able to take on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina defeated Nievera by her superior striking abilities during the clinch final round by using knees on the body. Antonina accepted the UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC at her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight by an unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. The fight was awarded Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko won her first three bouts, but lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
